Echo Launches Weekly online Training Workshop!

As Echo’s team of foreign teachers swells beyond 300 our support and training network also continues to develop. The company specialises in entry-level positions, therefore many of our teachers are first-timers and their teaching ability needs to be nurtured and guided. Having invested heavily in induction and orientation procedures, an on-going training and consultation platform is imperative to Echo Education’s future growth.

 Echo teachers already have access to an abundance of on-line resources and lesson plans but our Academic Department now want to offer weekly online training workshops encompassing teaching issues, classroom management and methodologies. 

Beginning January 11th, we will hold weekly meetings on Thursdays, from 5:00 p.m. until about 6:00 p.m. meetings on a topic as follows:

• 1st Thursday of the month:    Kindergarten teaching issues
• 2nd Thursday of the month:   Lower Primary (G.1-G.3) teaching issues
• 3rd Thursday of the month:    Upper Primary (G.4-G.6) teaching issues
• 4th Thursday of the month:    Middle and High School teaching issues

The platform will be used as a forum to exchange teaching ideas and techniques under the guidance of Academic Director Daniel Bodanske. Remember, stories of failure are equally as important as stories of success… we learn either way! Let’s not forget the golden rule of a teacher: don’t be afraid to learn something new every day!
