As some of our experienced teachers already know we get excited towards the end of the year as it means Spring Festival is approaching. Teachers get the chance to celebrate two New Years in China, January 1st and Chinese Spring Festival (CNY). This year, Chinese New year takes place on Saturday 25th January 2020. Between January 1st and January 25th there are many events in China to acknowledge the end of the working year with plenty of glitzy galas and ceremonies. Most Chinese companies will hold a special end of year party… and Echo is no different!
This year Echo Education’s end of year ceremony will be bigger and better than ever before. We have some important announcements to make; we are rewarding our hardworking teachers with cash prizes, bonuses and accolades. During the coming weeks a number of candidates will be shortlisted after KPI performances are reviewed. We are also polling school HR departments, parents, students and support staffs. The date and venue of our glamorous event will be confirmed in the coming weeks but we wanted to give you a little heads-up regarding the prizes up for grabs. Categories will include Best Foreign Teacher, Most Improved Foreign Teacher, Best Teaching Assistant, Longterm Service Award, Community Service Awards and several other special nominations.
So it’s with a slight nudge and wink we encourage teachers to be mindful of their KPI results and day-to-day professionalism around this time. Hard work, punctuality and politeness does not go unnoticed. We’re proud of our teachers here at Echo and we want you to know it.
The forthcoming event brings much excitement to the office and it’s a great time which bring all the Echo family together. We love a good excuse to put on our best clothes and shake our thing on the dance floor! It’s a time of thanks and also indulgence so we’ll be providing attendees with copious amounts of delicious food and lashings of alcohol! Party season is coming….
